You don’t need wads of money to travel like the moneyed – use an Uber-style phone app

This is the latest revolution in flying like celebrities – an Uber-style phone app lets you make use of luxury planes for as little as £150. In exchange of this small sum you can fly in executive planes when they are not in use and are idling.

The British online aviation company Victor has thought out this innovative idea and deserves credit because, thousands of jets remain idle when their super-rich owners don’t need them and these would now be available to be hired via smartphone apps. In case required, passengers can even undercut the cost of commercial fares by purchasing seats on ‘empty legs’ – that is when the jets are being relocated from one country to another.
Apart from Victor, there are other players like JetSmarter and Ubair. Their apps show which jets are located where, and how much it costs to hire the whole plane or buy a single ticket. You can book and board with just a few swipes of your smartphone.
Once it gets popular, there would be many happy travelers who need not be bothered unnecessarily about check in or security clearance or baggage check in or baggage clearance. It’s all in a package deal.
