Many of the Trump hats are not made in America but in China, Vietnam and Bangladesh

In his inauguration speech, President Donald Trump had struck a fiery, protectionist tone and had said that from this moment on, it's going to be America First. Everybody must follow two simple rules: Buy American and hire American.
However, many of his supporters were sporting Trump's trademark red "Make America Great Again" baseball caps that were made in China, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Similarly, some of them were horrified to discover that their Trump hats were foreign made in China, Vietnam and Bangladesh as revealed by the tags stitched into the inner portion.
This has been reported in news18.com dated 21 January 2017.
The Trump hats available for purchase on Trump's official campaign website are, of course, made in the United States and cost between $25 and $30 as per the label inside those caps. However, these are more expensive than the $20 versions that are sold by street vendors in Washington.
"Make America Great Again" hats were also being sold by street vendors for $20.
