Monkey business in Uttarakhand - Uttar Pradesh dumping its monkeys in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand is seized with a problem of the increase in its population of monkeys - not a result of better reproduction facilities but due to interference of its neighbor state. The fact of the matter is that, at dead of night, trucks enter from Uttar Pradesh with loads of the simians. These are let loose in the forests of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh gets rid of its monkey menace.
This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 11 December 2015.
The principal chief conservator of forests in Uttarakhand has written a letter to the state's DGP regarding the fact that several states, including Uttar Pradesh, are secretly dumping their monkeys into the state. As a result, there is a sudden rise in the population of monkeys which has become one of several states facing monkey menace.
It seems vehicles from neighboring states are releasing groups of monkeys on the sly into Uttarakhand forests in the dead of night.
The practice is for vehicles from neighboring states to come to forests in the border areas to release the animals. The Uttarakhand government has instructed the forest department to maintain a watch on such activities and the police to take tough action.
