British spy chiefs recruiting computer geeks for £27,913 to help fight terrorists, criminal gangs and hackers

The days of James Bond have vanished. With the advancement of technology and fast obsolescence of weapons, it is becoming difficult for traditional spies to tackle high end crimes like hacking and terrorism. Therefore the spy chiefs at GCHQ in Cheltenham have felt the need to recruit computer experts. Their task would be to defend the UK from cyber-attack.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk of 12 May 2015.
There is nothing secret in these recruitments – the salary on offer is a starting wage of £27,913 and their responsibility would be to help fight terrorists, criminal gangs and hackers. Those selected would be designated as 'Computer Network Operations Specialists (CNOS)'.
Both graduates and non-graduates above the age of 18 are eligible to apply but they should possess 'complex coding and problem-solving skills'.
The nature of duties cloud be to develop software to access the computers of a terrorist group, or conduct operations in order to lay hands on vital online clues about the location and identity of members of an organized crime ring. (Image courtesy wikimediacommons.com)
